The union has just been copied on WSBC Order #2013166700038, which deals with worker fatigue, hunger or being adversely affected by other factors. This OSH regulation can be found at 4.19 (1.) The order is as follows:
“The employer is ordered to develop written safe work procedures that
include, but are not limited to, the signs and symptoms of impairment, and
BCAS’ procedures for reporting, addressing, and investigating worker
Impairment.”
In light of the above, the union is compelled to once again remind members of their statutory requirement to immediately inform their supervisor if they feel an impairment that would affect their ability to safely perform work.
