Yesterday, the Provincial Executive Board held a meeting to conduct three by-elections. The CISM Chair and Provincial Public Education Director by-elections were held in accordance with Bylaw 13.d3 and the Emergency Medical Assistant Licensing Board (EMALB) position by-election was held in accordance with Bylaw 15.a2(f).
As you are all aware a first and second call for nominations went out for the CISM Chair and Provincial Public Education Director on September 24, 2018 with a third and final call released on October 8 and nominations closed on October 15th, 2018.
An EOI for the EMALB Position went out to the membership September 24, 2018 and closed October 8, 2018.

Congratulations to Melanie and Megan and welcome to the Provincial Executive Board. We look forward to seeing what new ideas you will bring forward for our members.
Also, congratulations to Grant Ross. Grant Ross’s name will be put forward for the Paramedic Representative on the EMALB. This position sits at the pleasure of Government who will have final approval on our candidate selection.
All three of these positions will be subject to election again at Convention 2019. A call for nominations will be released in compliance with our Bylaws at a future date TBA.
