Dear Members,
Expression of Interest for Participating in APBC Social Media / Public Education
We are looking to update our database of members wishing to participate in the creation of APBC Social Media and Public Education content. We are looking for members who want to represent the Paramedic and Emergency Dispatcher Professions on our various social media platforms. Members may be asked to submit content (stories, pictures, videos) or participate with “in person” media creation projects representing APBC and the profession of Paramedics and Dispatchers.
APBC Social Media is used to promote public awareness of our profession and promote the role of Paramedics and Dispatchers as a career choice. Additionally, it is used for training and health awareness for members and the general public. Every region has unique qualities, and our goal is to get representation from all positions and areas of the province.
Those interested in applying need ask themselves “Am I a good candidate for this role?”
To be successful you must:
- Be a member in good standing with APBC CUPE Local 873
- Have a satisfactory work record
- Positive attitude towards the profession
- Self-motivated and enjoy volunteering
- Appearance that represents the above

Interested applicants will be kept on file and contacted by a member of the Communications Team when needed for a project based on suitability (ie. geographic area, licence level, special interests, etc.).
This is an internal union EOI for volunteer participation.
